I sought the advice of two lemon law attorney's, each telling me the offer was standard under the Maryland Lemon Law. What Nissan offered to repurchase the vehicle was shocking. On NovemNissan Corporation offered me $10,000 to repurchase the vehicle from me because it could not be repaired. I never regained custody of the vehicle after I returned it to the dealership on October 14, 2021. I had already initiated a lemon law claim against Nissan Motor Corporation. The vehicle was returned to the dealership on Octowith the screen still blank. I could not drive the vehicle to dealership's service department at that time. I called the service department again to report the problem. On 10/3/21 I attempted to back the vehicle out of my garage. I could not drive the Pathfinder from 9/18 - 10/3/21 due to medical issues. The vehicle was returned to me on because the screen miraculously cut on so the service department said they could not duplicate the problem. I returned the vehicle again on when on September 13 and 14 the control screen would not come on. The vehicle was returned to me on 8/23/21. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.Seating for eight passengers (second-row bench seat).Proximity keyless entry with push-button start.A wireless charging pad is great, but the Pathfinder needs a few more USB charge ports to avoid having to split charging time between passenger devices. Our test vehicle was equipped with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, though we had some issues with the latter. Voice commands are limited in scope and must be spoken in a specific way to work.
The navigation system itself works well, with clear turn-by-turn directions and an easy-to-use (if somewhat dated-looking) interface. The lane centering works well most of the time, but in our testing we noticed a few occasions when it tried to steer the vehicle over double yellow lines. It sounds nice, but we found it to be more of an annoyance than anything. The adaptive cruise is tied to the navigation, so it can slow down before a curve in the road. It includes adaptive cruise control and a lane-centering system.
